Day 120

After a lovely day at church and hanging out with husband I sprawled out on the back porch to try and soak up some vitamin D. The dogs thought I was out there to play with them, but I fell asleep.

Also, I've been on this huge pepper kick lately. I went to the extent of putting pepper in a dipping bowl and dunking my pizza bites in it. Pepper on eggs is delicious. I even polished off a jar of pepperocinis in two days. Pepper is practically zero calories and is good for you, so it's been justified. Husband is grossed out.

Day 119

Husband and I went out for a date. We had red robin for dinner and watched the movie "5 year engagement". It was quite funny and in a way their arguments reminded me of husbands and my arguments.

Day 118

Husband and I took my best friend to the local brewfest. Best friend and I have known each other since I was 9. We used to be next door neighbors and have basically grown up together. We had a lot of fun sampling a few beers and bumping into husbands old friends. The best drink of the night was a granny smith apple cider. It was like drinking tart apple juice. Delicious!

Day 117

Mom, sister 2, and I drove down to visit sister 1 in college. We grabbed our favorite Korean food from Gina's restaurant (white rice, fried seaweed, and kimchee... My mouth us watering just writing that) and not one but two chocolate cakes from KFC. We feasted like queens. We talked. We laughed. We had a great time. I love those girls. I'm so thankful God blessed me with best friends that I've known all my life.

Day 116

There was a moment yesterday when I heard dog 2 pass gas very audibly. I looked up and saw the precarious position dog 1 was in and was concerned for his life. He's fine though.

Day 115

I had a choice today; nap or run. I was really tired so it's no surprise that nap won. I snuggled up on the couch with my black panther kitty and we had a marvelous nap. When I woke up my tiger kitty was trying desperately to get the dogs to pay attention to her. So I reached out and started scratching her head. Now I have to tell you, tiger cat only snuggles with the dogs and hates cuddling with husband or me. When she hopped up on the couch space next to me and curled up while purring I was stunned. I think I sat there for an extra half hour trying to convince tiger cat that I'll pay attention to her and that she should forget the dogs. It's going to take a lot of convincing, but she's cute and I always want to cuddle with her.

Day 114

I have to make a confession.  After my normal 4 hour Monday work out, which was a beast this time, I
was collapsing in bed when I realized that I hadn't taken a picture.  I was too tired to really care, but then I remembered that I had taken a picture of Dog 1 basking in this beautiful (and rare) Oregon sun.

I only took the picture because I was secretly jealous that I wasn't out there soaking up some Vitamin D with him.   And the weather forcast says that it will be raining, cold, and overcase for the next week.  Gotta love Oregon.

Day 113

After church husband and I randomly decided to take the dogs on a quick road trip to the beach.  Due to traffic from an accident we changed directions and ended up at Detroit Lake in Oregon.  It was beautiful weather and we had such an amazing day together.
Husband loves driving his fast car

Dog 1 had his head out the window for 90% of the drive

Dog 2 laid down the entire drive and thought we were going to kill her.  She even threw up.

Husband threw a stick for the dogs.  Dog 1 loves to swim and Dog 2 has never been swimming before.  She panicked when she couldn't reach the ground and flipped out.

"I'M GUNNA DIE!!"

Concerned for Dog 1 who is still swimming.

Water dog!

"Let me try swimming again... NOPE!!!"

Land is safer.  She's also pouting that Dog 1 keeps chasing sticks.

"Oh look, if I splash out to the stump I can stand up and not drown"

Realizing that it probably wasn't the best idea to have two dirty dogs in his car.

Exhausted on the drive home from such an exciting and eventful day.

Day 112

I spent the day with dad and all of my sisters watching littlest sister's club volleyball tournament.  She has improved so much it's crazy.  So much fun to watch and be with those I love.  Sister's team took 2nd place!

Sister jumping really high for the ball.
Sister's awesome hitting form
Dad with Sister 1 and Sister 2
Love my family!

Also, my dogs are retarded.

Day 110

Exhibit A: Little black plastic chunks.
Exhibit B: Gym Equipment with missing black plastic chunks.
The line up.

I decided to go running on my treadmill today.  I really didn't want to, and I did an awesome job of distracting myself with better things to do for 45 minutes before I finally bit the bullet and determinately walked in the game/gym room.  I had just got the door closed behind me when I saw suspicious black chunks of plastic on the ground.  At that time I noticed that Dog 1 didn't follow me into the room.  I pushed Dog 2 aside (she likes to dramatically flop herself in front of doors and makes herself quite the effective door stop) so that I could open the door to let Dog 1 into the room.  I called Dog 1's name in a normal manner to get him to come when he slinked past me with this guilty look on his face and his tail between his legs.  Seriously, I hadn't even raised my voice.  I had just called his name because I didn't want him roaming the house while I was dying on my 5 mile run.

So I asked Dog 1, "Did you do something wrong?"
*Guilty face and down cast squinty eyes*
I asked Dog 2, "Did you do something wrong?"
*Blank stare*
Back to Dog 1, "What did you do Dog?"
*Guilty blink and timid tail wag*

At this point I had decided that it was Dog 1's fault and that he was the culprit.  I wasn't really mad, and I wasn't going to discipline either of them no matter which one did it.  It's husband's gym equipment and my treadmill looked just fine.  I sent husband a text with the evidence of this puppy crime.  Husband surprised me by replying that he caught Dog 2 red handed, er, pawed.  I would never have guessed.  Good thing I wasn't mad about it or else the wrong dog would've been in trouble.

If it's this hard to tell which dog was bad then I can't imagine how difficult it will be to figure out a child crime when the kids can talk and blame each other.  And people ask me why I'm waiting to have kids...

Day 109

I'm up to squatting 135 pounds. My next goal is to be able to squat my body weight. We will see how that goes next week.

My extremely timid kitty followed me into the bathroom, so I turned the faucet on for her. Like any cat who is learning how to drink out of the faucet, she kept sticking her head in the water drips. What a cutie.

Day 108

Normally on tuesdays I run, but my legs were too sore. And I was feeling lazy.

When husband got home from work he kept standing up and pacing around during dinner so I said "we should go for a walk". Dog 1 knows that he needs to get excited when he hears the word "walk" but he couldn't remember why it was an exciting word. I proceeded to ask dog 1 "you wanna go for a walk?" and he would pace around wagging his tail so hard his ears flopped around. At one point he even started to get on the couch with me, which is a big no-no, as if I wouldn't notice. When husband got the leashes out of the closet dog 1 dove his nose in his leash, then we had to hold him back to prevent him from diving his nose into dog 2's leash too.

Dog 2 still isn't so sure why walks are so exciting.

Day 107

As promised dog 1 is only allowed to play outside if he's on the lead. Dog 2 has figured out, like any good sister, how to torment dog 1. In the picture below you can see that dog 1 is at the end of his lead while dog 2 is sitting just a few feet further with his bone taunting him with it. Hopefully this'll teach him a lesson or two.

Sister and I survived another 4 hour workout Monday. We decided to reward ourselves with ice-cream.

Day 106

Husband and I finally hung pictures up around the mirror. It makes the wall look much less empty. Also, my first flower of the year bloomed! It's my favorite type of flower, the snap dragon.

Day 105

Husband and I went to Portland for date night and had an amazing burger and beer at Deschutes Brewery. I've heard about the place a lot and it was packed. Loved spending time with man!

Day 104

I have discovered instagram. So today I will attach a new pic I took of dog 2 along with a few of my favorite edits.

Also, I ran a 9 minute mile today! This is good for me because I normally plod along and run 3-5 miles. This was the first time I tried for speed.
