Day 304

They know they aren't allowed in the kitchen so they sit there like good dogs... Until I have my back turned.

Day 303 - Good Wife

I have come to realize that coaching is exhausting. Last night's championship game had me completely drained (but very happy). So after work I rewarded myself with a nice nap. I woke up at 4:15pm, looked at myself in the mirror and said, "Breal, you are wearing sweats, have no intention of putting any makeup on, and just took a lazy nap... You'd better make your man some dinner".

I found a ravioli dough recipe on the good ol' Internet and basically made the rest up. I home made the pasta sauce because Gordon Ramsey would strangle me for putting Rago on homemade ravioli and I made up the filling recipe with whatever ingredients I had on hand.

I must say that ravioli, although easy to make, are quite the time suck. It took me 2 hours to get it all done not including dishes. But boy were they yummy! A little melted butter and sauce on top and BAM! Bon appetit!

Day 302 - Proud Moment

My volleyball team took 2nd place in the championship today. I couldn't be more proud of them and how they played. They did so well and kept fighting. I'm sure going to miss not seeing these girls multiple times a week.

Day 301 - Sugar Overload

I had my jr high volleyball team come over to my house for pre-championship game dinner and bonding. I fixed spaghetti for dinner and the girls brought so many sweets, and put a hurting on my Halloween candy. At the end of the evening they were bouncing off the walls and begging to stay another hour. So at least they enjoyed themselves. Also, us coaches gave them personalized tshirts to sign and wear to school on Monday before the game. I'm getting nervous!

Day 300 - Fright Town

Husband took sister and me to our first haunted house last night. It is the biggest haunted house in the north west. I may have screamed once, but in my defense the wall right next to me dropped and this zombie lady jumped out at me. I wasn't expecting it. It was a ton of fun and there was a ton of people there.

Day 299

The first pic is of panther kitty when she was only a day or two old. So helpless and adorable.

Day 297

For all of you who don't know; the fox is my favorite animal. I've looked into getting one, but Oregon has so many regulations and permits for "exotic" animals I'm not even sure where to start. Last night I made the mistake of google imaging FOX. So many cute pictures! Here's a doodle I did, an a picture of lovey dog and husband having a moment.

Day 296 - Jackpot!

There was this beautiful double rainbow that I was chasing yesterday. I caught one. I didn't know it was possible, but I actually drove thru the end of the rainbow. There was no pot of gold, just me!

Day 295

Sunday night I decided to paint my nails. My nails are getting kind've long and I was feeling kind've girly, bad combo. As I was getting my nail supplies out I realized that I'm running really low on nail polish remover so I somehow rationalized the fact that I should only do French tips. French tips take less polish remover when I'm trying to take them off? Yeah, but French tips take nail polish remover to create. Smart. I then proceeded to pick hot pink for my French tip color.
As any of you normal, right handed ladies know, the left hand always turns out way better than the right hand. I finished my left hand no problem and ran into trouble when I tried using my useless left hand to paint my right hand. Husband took pity on my pathetic struggles and fixed my right hand. He's never touched nail polish before and somehow still did better than me.
Now I'm stuck with hooker nails because I can't bring myself to taking these hot pink French tips off.

Day 294

First fire of the year!

Day 293

Husband and I decided to watch a scary movie. I grabbed protective dog for moral support and husband just ended up with lovey dog in his lap whether he wanted that or not. Lovey dog gets kind've jealous. Also, Chernobyl Diaries isn't as scary ad I was hoping it would be; in my opinion, the synopsis on the back of the DVD case was scarier than the actual movie itself.

Day 291

Operation fatten kitty up status: love handles.

The sure fire way to ruin a box of cereal is this rip that inner lining too far. Great. Now every time I go to pour my cereal I'm gunna make a mess.

Day 290

Sister face time on the iPhone with Tyler creeping in the background.

Panther cat only wants my attention when I'm busy at work.

Day 289

My sister brought over my great grandpa's saxophone. I used to take lessons (for a very short period of time); let me tell you, that is a difficult instrument to play. Also, I was a 14 year old girl with an attractive 17 year old teacher who, I'm sure, didn't know I existed until my lessons started. That was just a recipe for one distracted student. I'm happy that I remember the notes, now if if only I could get the sound to come out of the saxophone right...

Day 288

The neighbor's cat was in the back yard and all of my animals had to let me know about it.

Day 287

After church husband and I took tall sister to lunch at Mongolian grill. YUM!

Day 286

I spent all day at a volleyball tournament. My girls played so well and I'm so proud of them. We took first place against eight teams. No one warned me that coaching is just as exhausting as actually playing. I was in bed and passed out by 8:30pm.

Day 285

The temperature around here dropped and I was too stubborn to turn the heat on for the first half of the day. Panther kitty decided to "cuddle" with me for warmth.

Day 284

It was so foggy this morning that you couldn't even see the end of my little street. Summer is over.

There's this little project I've been bouncing around in my head. I'm thinking about taking a 6' by 4' piece of plywood and cutting out the Seattle skyline. In my mind it looks cool and I can hang it above my bed. On paper it's turning out too. I could cut out the little windows, paint it black, then sand it down some to give it a distressed look. We will see IF this will happen. I'm more of a planner/imaginer then when I actually go to do it it looks nothing like I envisioned. I've come to accept that's how art works.

Thursday, October 11, 2012

Day 283

While sitting on the couch a smelled a nasty smell (which is common when one has two dogs). Like any normal person a poked my nose in my shirt. That's when I realized I was wearing a bro tank. Fail.

Tuesday, October 9, 2012

Day 282

I put advantage flea medicine on all of the animals last night. That stuff is supposed to set for 24 hours so you're not supposed to pet or touch the animals for a whole day after the medicine is applied. Tiger kitty was having none of that. She stole my chair and kept rubbing up on me. She is only cuddly when I'm trying to ignore her.

Monday, October 8, 2012

Day 281

The sliding glass door was the last door/window that husband and I needed curtains for. It's been almost two years and we finally have all out curtains up.

Day 280

Dumb dog, with the help of protective dog, has chewed through steel cable lead number three. So husband and I bought a chain. I'd like to see them chew through this.

Day 279

Blonde sister and I found this hilarious app: cat effects. You can take a picture and put a cat on it! Bam!

Day 278

I went to the local football game with my sisters and dad. Our home team lost but it was still fun to bond with my lovely family.

Day 274 - 277

The past few days I've been in Atlanta. My hotel had a wall as a window; since in terrified of heights and was on the 19th floor, I did not go on that side of the room. It did have a tv in the bathroom which was genius. I also got to Skype with the husband, stupid dog butted in because he was excited to hear me but couldn't figure out where I was. It was hilarious. It was a good trip but boy am I glad to be home!
