Day 151
I went to get my hair cut today and wouldn't you know, I didn't take a single pic of my new do because I was having so much fun with my mom and sister.

Day 150
Last night, after dinner, husband and I drove to get some ice-cream. On our way home I noticed that the sky looked breath taking. So we chased the sunset.

Day 149
Husband and I came home from camping only to discover that our oven fan was clogged. Birds were busy stuffing the pipe full of twigs and various debris. We fixed that problem. I hate birds so much.
Day 148
Ft Stevens State Park Camping continued...

Day 147
Camping at Ft Stevens for Memorial Day Weekend.
There were so many bike/walking paths that lead everywhere. They were beautiful and the dogs LOVED it.

Day 146
Husband and I packed up the dogs and truck for a weekend camping trip. Dog 2 hates car rides and ended up puking on the ride up. Dog 1 loves car rides but doesn't love riding with a sick friend.
As I was reminiscing this weekend I remembered that five years ago husband and I first started talking which immediately lead to dating. I was babysitting for husband's aunt and uncle for their annual dirt bike camping trip (the moms wanted to go riding too and didn't want to worry about who would watch the kids). Many fun, great memories.

Day 144
Husband and I bought curtains. Needless to say, the cats love to hide behind them. Tiger kitty hasn't quite figured out that we can still see her and her tummy.

Day 143
This tree was covered in little white and pale pink petals. Then the wind happened. Now the tree is naked and my neighbor's yard is covered in little white and pale pink petals. Sorry!

Day 142
The past couple of nights dog 2 has been driving husband and me crazy. She wakes up at ungodly hours of the night (2am, 4am, etc) and paces around the room. Husband has taken her to go potty, but she doesn't have to go and comes back in and paces some more. So today, in retaliation, I didn't let her take a single nap. Every time she dozes off I yell, poke her, pull her ear, and whatever else it takes to keep her awake. She hated it. She growled at me numerous times and would moan and complain. Give her a couple of days of this and we will see how her attitude towards sleep at night is. No more naps for dog 2. Except maybe today, because I need a nap...

Day 141
While I was a worthless bum today, husband made dinner for friend and me. Nothing warms my heart like a man in the kitchen. The dogs did a great job supervising and making sure the floors stayed clean.

Day 140
Sister came over today. While we were making cookie dough I spilled flour on panther cat. She thinks we torture her.

Day 137
Now I have to make a confession, I didn't take today's pictures. My mom's friend texted then to her and mom then forwarded them to me. These are current pics of the house in Texas that I grew up in, almost 15 years ago.
I remember the yard being a lot bigger. And those big trees in the front yard? Mom planted those as little guys right before we moved. So many hood memories of that place :)

Day 136
Today was more of the same: snuggling dogs and doodles. Husband and I took the truck to get the flat fixed and the alignment done so we wandered across the street to Fred meyers. They had a sale on bike. $60 a bike and there were only two left. We now have new bikes. The pic below is of husband trying to talk me into riding the tandem bike through the store, we didn't make it very far before I literally put my foot down to stop his speeding through the aisles.

Day 135
Nothing too exciting happened today. Worked out for 4 hours (up to squatting 165lbs) and doodled on my wrist. No new tattoos just pen ink.

Day 134
Today my sisters came over to soak up some vitamin D with me. Blonde sister is home from college for the weekend. I love my sisters and they always know how to make me laugh no matter what.
Day 133
Because on actual mothers day we I've church and my mom has a workout class we didn't plan anything on sunday. Instead we celebrated having the best mother in the world on Saturday. We each wrote her a letter, I made cheesecake, husband deep fried chicken, sisters made side dishes, and dad set up some nice music and a big ol campfire. It was a very nice evening and I pray that a day doesn't go by that I take this amazing group of people for granted.
So for an early mothers day: my mom means the world to me and I am truly blessed to have this amazing woman as my role model.

Day 131
Dog 1 is the most friendly and sweet dog I know. So when my friend's dog and dog 1 got into a scuffle the other night I was surprised to see him stand up for himself. After we separated the dogs to assess the lack of damage, dog 1 was downright smug. When we got home that night he stayed right by my side and refused to follow husband when husband called for him. That's when we realize dog 1 thought he was protecting me. I have to admit that I did squeal when the scuffle happened (it was too puny to be a scream).
I didn't think dog 1 had a protective bone in his lanky body. I was wrong. Dog 1 is still loving and friendly, but he feels like he's tough stuff. I think he's suddenly turned into my dog and not husband's.

Day 130
I've kept dog 1 on the lead whenever I let him outside to play because he has a tendency to wiggle his way under the fence into the front yard and frolic around greeting everyone. His sin is loving people too much. So yesterday, after two of my good friends each lost a pet that was hit by a car, I was rushing out the door when I noticed dog 1 running around the back yard... Where I know his lead can't reach. Dog 1 had succeeded in snapping his lead. Even though I was late I took a few extra minutes to put the dogs in their kennels because I didn't want anything to happen to them.
A little back ground info you need to know about me: I grew up on a farm. All the animals that I loved and favored I called my "not favorites" because my favorites always seemed to die. After awhile of that a person becomes a little calloused to the death of an animal and accepts it as part of life.
I realized yesterday that I would be crushed if anything happened to my little herd of gremlins. Dog 1, dog 2, panther cat, and even little tiger kitty have all found a perfect little spot in my heart. I'm such a softy.

Day 129
Husband has been doing this thing with panther kitty since we first got her. Husband grabs panther cat, holds her way up high in the air, yells loudly while gently "slamming (for lack of better word)" her onto the bed, and follows this up by scratching her belly and petting her. Every time I watch him do this thing I'm completely baffled that panther cat #1 doesn't claw his face off and #2 actually enjoys this. How can I tell that she enjoys this? (besides the fact that she doesn't shred husband) I can tell because she will sit at the end of the bed and paw at him when he walks by, and after their little thing she will lay there and purr. I can't remember how or exactly when this started but it cracks me up every time.
Husband and I also took the dogs for a walk tonight. Dog 1 loves walks more than anything.

Day 128
Tiger kitty tried to snuggle with dog 2; dog 2 just gave up trying to sleep on the pillow and let tiger kitty have it. Well played kitty.
Day 127
Husband was gone so best friend and I decided to move his car. First thing you have to know, husband loves this car like it was his child. Second thing you have to know, I don't know how to drive a stick.
The following are a series of pictures best friend took for husband as proof that I tried to drive her.

Introducing, the "Other Woman" |
Feeling pretty confident - just have to back it up a few feet. How hard can that be?? |
Clutch in, E-Brake off, Car's on and in reverse... |
Killed it. Car was in 6th gear and not reverse. Oops. |
Killed it again! This is the face of someone who is about to accept moving the car 2 feet as an accomplishment. |
Yeah... I'm done killing the car for now. Husband will just have to move her when he gets back. |
